The school network is constantly monitoring for threats both from the internet and internally where a device may have been compromised with a virus, malware, etc. More often than not these threats come from personally owned devices like laptops and phones. When our system detects an issue we immediate block the device displaying a message on why it has been blocked and what actions to take to correct the problem. Most of the time these actions will fix the issue:
- Clear history and data (including cookies) from every browser (Safari, Edge, Firefox, Chrome, etc.).
- Scan the computer for viruses/malware.
- Install all available updates to the operating system.
Once the above steps have been completed and/or the steps in the notification message you receive on your device then notify Tech Help, or stop by the Tech Office, and they will unblock your device.
