The digital world is great, but it does have challenges. We have partnered with KnowBe4 for our Security Awareness training online training to help.
- All faculty, staff and students have been set up with an account to access the trainings.
- There will be assigned trainings from time to time that cover subjects either to refresh skills or warn of an increasing type of cyber attack (unwelcome attempts to steal, expose, alter, disable or destroy information through unauthorized access to computer systems).
- There will be knowledge tests occasionally to see if people fall for obvious attempts to get your information.
Yes, we do have a number of incentives for completing the assigned trainings. If, as a school, a certain percentage completes the training by the end date so shall there be rewards.
| Percentage Completed | Reward |
| 80% | A random student that completed the training will be chosen to have access to the Tech Crew snack bar for 1 week. |
| 85% | Two random students that completed the training will be chosen to either have access to the Tech Crew snack bar for 1 week OR receive a new Apple Pencil. |
| 90% | Spotify will be unblocked for all personal devices that connect to our network for one month. |
| 95% | Streaming music websites will be unblocked on our network before and after school (ex. iHeartRadio) for one month. |
| 100% | A video streaming media App will be "unlocked" on iPads for the remainder of the semester for ALL students (Disney+, Apple TV+, ...). They would still be blocked on our network but not at home. Note: Each training where 100% is achieved a different media App will be "unlocked". |
And the incentives are unlocked at each percentage. So, let's say 92% of a training was completed. That would unlock the first three rewards above.
