The following briefly summarizes how faculty, staff, students, and parents receive their PowerSchool login accounts. Note: Classes will not be visible to students until the first day of class.
Students
- Students new to St. Mary's, your parents will receive an email before school starts from the Registrar with your schedule. New students will receive their PowerSchool login information at Tech Camp.
- Returning students the information is sent to your school email. New! Returning students will likely be prompted to change their PowerSchool password the next time they log in to the App or website. The username will remain the same.

Parents
- You should have or will receive an email before school starts from Tech Help with instructions on setting up your parent account and connecting it to your daughter's account. Note: The information to connect your account to the student is not the same as the login information for the student account.
- We highly recommend adding the @smapdx.org domain to your email safe list to ensure messages are not sent to Junk or Spam folders.
- The parent accounts do work with the PowerSchool mobile App but is best viewed via the latest version of Edge, Firefox, or Safari on a personal computer/tablet as it shows more information. The latest version of Chrome should also work but there have been some issues with it in the past.
- Important! If you have another student enrolled at a different school that also uses PowerSchool, you cannot have both students associated with the mobile App. You either have to sign out and back in to view the other PowerSchool account or use a web browser to go back and forth.
Faculty
- New teachers will receive account information to PowerTeacher during orientation.
Staff
- New staff will receive account information if access to it is needed during orientation.
