You may have heard the terms like I.T. Support, Tech Support, etc. Tech Help @ SMA is our brand of technical support setting it apart from other schools and websites. In April of 2024, we are beginning a rebrand to SMA Help Desk. The purpose is to bring in other groups into our ticket system for better collaboration. So, when you receive replies to your requests, they will be from the SMA Help Desk.
We obtain, configure, deploy, and support the technology used at St. Mary's Academy. This includes iPads, laptops, desktops, network, device management, security, hosted services, and much more.
Our full-time staff, and student interns (also known as our Tech Crew), assist with our technology ranging from troubleshooting to basic use of technology in the classroom.
- Student interns are only available during blocks 1-7 on school days.
- Full-time staff are available 8am - 4pm on school days. Important Note: Our full-time staff are NOT available 24/7. Although they monitor the ticket system outside of school hours, they typically do not respond until the next school day.
Our mission is to empower our students, faculty, and staff in the use of technology so that they can create, collaborate, and engage others with their ideas in whatever way they choose. We are not here to do the work for people but to ensure they have the tools so they can do it themselves.
