Please read the following policies carefully about charging your devices and connecting them to Wi-Fi.
iPads and Phones
- The charging cabinets in the Commons and on the East end of the Boyle Center have lightning and USB-C connectors for charging iPhones/iPads, and can be locked up while they charge.
- Please do not take the cables. They should remain in the cabinet so everyone can use them when they are needed.
- Phones are not to be used during class and should be completely turned off or placed in Airplane Mode.
- Teachers will require placing phones in a classroom "caddy" or other common area during class. Phones should still be turned off.
- The Tech Office, Boyle Center, Library, and teachers do not have spare chargers to check out or borrow.

Personal Laptops
- The lockers in the charging cabinet in the Commons and Boyle Center have an outlet to plug your laptops in with your charger and can be locked up while they charge. The Tech Office, Boyle Center, Library, and teachers do not have spare chargers to check out or borrow.
- Personal laptops should not be connected to the school Wi-Fi and used during class without permission from the teacher in that class.
- Students must still bring their fully charged iPad to school every day as there may be class work/activities that require it.
- Personal laptops should be kept up to date with the latest OS patches, anti-virus software, and cleared browser history.
- Personal laptops must be compatible with 5 GHz Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3) to connect to the school Wi-Fi. Older devices are simply not supported.
- If malware or any other suspicious activity originates from a personal device, it will be blocked from the network with further instructions provided on the blocked message.
- All guidelines of the responsible use policy are still followed: https://www.stmaryspdx.org/academics/technology/tech-forms-documents/responsible-use-policy
