Here is basic information about what happens with SMA accounts for students that graduate, withdrawal or temporarily leave SMA.
- Graduates: All SMA accounts are permanently deleted on July 1st following your graduation. You will no longer be able to access these accounts nor are they recoverable by the Tech Office.
- Withdrawal: All SMA accounts are permanently deleted following your last class along with the turn-in of the issued SMA iPad, charger, and lightning cable* to the Tech Office.
- Summer School: For students that are enrolled in SMA summer classes but not returning in the Fall semester they must return their iPad, charger, and cable* following their last 2nd semester class. They will have to utilize a personal device for SMA summer classes. Only the Principal can authorize an exception.
- Temporarily Leaving (illness, studying abroad, etc.): Most SMA accounts are still available (Microsoft 365, Schoology, etc.) but some features may be disabled. The issued SMA iPad, charger, and cable must be returned* to the Tech Office. They will keep them charged and updated until the student returns.
* Fees may be incurred when turned in if the iPad is damaged or the charger/cable is missing/damaged. Fees can be paid with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit card in the Tech Office.
- iPad damaged (cracked screen, housing bent or dented, etc.) = $50.00
- We recommend taking it out of the case ahead of time to see if it is bent or dented.
- Apple 20W charger damaged or missing = $20.00
- Apple USB-C to lightning cord or USB-C to USB-C cord damaged or missing = $20.00
