For seniors who have finished up their class work and are not purchasing their SMA iPads, they will need to be returned to the Tech Office on or before Thursday, May 29th, between 8:15 am and 4:00 pm on school days.
We are expecting the Apple iPad, 20W charger, and USB-C to lightning cord back, as that is what was issued to students when they arrived at SMA. If any of these items are damaged or missing, here are the fees:
- iPad damaged (cracked screen, housing bent or dented, etc.) = $50.00
- We recommend taking it out of the case ahead of time to see if it is bent or dented.
- Apple 20W charger damaged or missing = $5.00
- Apple USB-C to lightning cord damaged or missing = $5.00
Important Notes
- We do not accept non-Apple chargers or cables instead of Apple chargers/cables. We also do not accept previous iPad chargers (12W) or iPhone chargers (7W), as they do not charge the iPads as fast as the 20W chargers included with your iPad. These items will be returned to the students, and they will be charged for missing these items.
- Students will keep their protective case unless provided by the school.
- Students do not have to erase their iPad before the turn-in. Tech will erase the iPad.
- Seniors who cannot turn in their iPads by May 29th, as they still have classwork to complete, should coordinate the return date with Ms. Gilbert and Tech Help.

The fees can be paid in the Tech Office when the iPad is turned in with a credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or other Square-compatible methods. Although not preferred, cash or a check made out to St. Mary's Academy can be used. Additionally, they can be paid online at https://www.stmaryspdx.org/pay-fees.
