Because we use managed Apple IDs on our student iPads the option to control this using Family Sharing is not fully functional. Therefore any limits or restrictions set must be done on student iPads directly. There is an option for parents to set a passcode to allow/change limits or restrictions. In addition, the use of 3rd party Apps for parental control and monitoring are likely not to work due their use of VPN or conflicts with our mobile device management.
Note: If parents have set restrictions on the student's personal Apple ID to "Ask to Buy" on the App Store this restriction needs to be temporarily turned off as it conflicts with managed Apple ID settings. Once the Apps/books that are needed are downloaded the parents can reactivate it.
