The school does place restrictions on iPads for students, faculty and staff. Most of the restrictions relate to recommended security settings to protect privacy and data. Student iPads have more restrictions that are related to age-appropriate access (no 17+ Apps), keeping the iPad running smoothly, or when parents request to do so for individual students.
The most popular Apps that are restricted on iPads are social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, ...) and streaming media (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, ...). These sites are also blocked on the school network. Personally owned devices should be used for those that want to use these sites off campus.
