These are some basic troubleshooting steps when taking a Schoology exam using the Lockdown browser on a school laptop.
- At least 15 minutes should have passed since the teacher unhid the exam in Schoology. If less time than that has passed, wait longer and try again.
- Check the following website to see if the Respondus systems are having issues: Respondus Status
- Reboot the laptop.
- To clear the history in Edge, go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Choose what to clear (under Delete browsing data) > Clear Now (All Time).
- Ensure the laptop is fully updated under Start > Settings > Windows Updates > Check for updates/Install.
If the exam works for others and but you are still having issues, try resetting the settings in the browser using these steps:
- To reset settings in Edge, go to Settings > Reset settings > Restore settings to their default values > Reset.
- Close Browser
- Reopen the browser and log in to Schoology (https://stmaryspdx.schoology.com).
- Click the link to take the exam.
- If this pop-up appears check the box and click Open as illustrated below.
