One of our tools for communication amongst the SMA community is Remind. It is a secure platform that allows for multiple forms of communication while keeping personal details private.
Communication from the school is rare on Remind and usually coincides with an urgent event that affects the whole community such as a school closure (or late starts) due to weather, etc. Email and social media are used for more day-to-day communications. Although athletic coaches will often use Remind for practice, transportation and game reminders to the athletes and families.
Families that are new to SMA will receive information about signing up for the school Remind account at Back to School Night. It will also be distributed in the parent newsletter.
