All incoming Freshman classes are issued new iPads. It is expected that students will utilize these iPads all 4 years while at SMA. Students that transfer into St. Mary's will be issued the same make/model iPad the rest of their classmates utilize.
This can be challenging as new features often accompany newer iPads. While these features can bring with them more efficient and effective use we do not introduce new iPads to other classes unless there is a significant need to do so.
If families find that the performance of an SMA issued iPad is not meeting the needs of their daughter they can contact Tech Help @ SMA to discuss options. More often than not with just a few changed settings on an iPad performance improves.
