Occasionally teachers will provide feedback to students on their assignments in Schoology with an audio recording in Schoology. This recording is in .webm format which can sometimes be an issue on an iPad. Here are some things to try to resolve the problem on your iPad when it occurs.
- Go to Settings > Safari > Request Desktop Website and turn it OFF. (It is on by default)
- Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.
- On iPadOS 16 choose Clear > Close Tabs.
- On iPadOS 17+ choose All History > Close All Tabs > Clear History.
- Close all Apps that are running in the background that you are using.
- Update your iPadOS to the latest version that is available to you under Settings > General > Software Update.
After trying the suggestions above try listening to the feedback in the App.
- If it isn't working, try listening to it from the website interface (https://stmaryspdx.schoology.com) using Safari.
- If still not working listen to the file from the website on an SMA laptop or personal computer using Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox.
This is a very intermittent issue and difficult to troubleshoot beyond what is noted above.
