With the iOS 26+ update, using the split screen feature works a bit different. To use it, do the following:
- Go to Settings > Multitasking & Gestures.
- Select Windows Apps.
- Open an App.
- Tap on the three colored dots at the top of the screen and tap the split view button (green one).
- Open the second App and repeat step 4.
- When the App window is smaller, drag it from the top of the App to one side of the iPad but release it just before you reach the side. It should snap into place.
- Repeat #6 with the other App but drag to the other side.
- Resize the windows in the center where both Apps meet.
